National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA)

If you have navigated here, you may be seeking financial advice from a fee-only planner. As an informed consumer, you may have heard that a fee-only relationship is the model that is most aligned with your interests and allows for the fewest conflicts of interest.

Fee-only means that an advisor is compensated solely by the client, with neither the advisor nor any related party receiving compensation that is contingent on the purchase or sale of a financial product. In the industry, it is common for this term to be confused with “fee-based,” which means fee and commission. We believe that an advisor will be loyal to his or her source of compensation. We commit to our clients that we will not take any compensation from any other source, which allows us to be loyal only to you, and not to any provider of financial products.

Please let us know if we can help you in any way.
